The Broadstraik Inn in Westhills was the first of 3 pubs in the north-east that we visited. We had an evening meal there with friends – starter was goats cheese and beetroot salad – good but rather too much followed by calves liver and bacon, which I asked for very rare. To my surprise it was. House wine was awful though and their cash register was buggy and replicated things on the bill. Good atmosphere and OK food but stick to beer.
