Another Aberdeenshire pub – the Bieldside has a modern dining area and is very busy at week-ends. Fairly conventional pub food – nothing very adventurous – I had tomato soup, which was fine followed by salmon ravioli and king prawn in a sun-dried tomato sauce. Ravioli was obviously not home made but it was OK. With a bottle of South African Sauv Blanc, about £22 each. General verdict is OK for a casual evening meal but don’t expect top-class cooking.
