We decided to get out of Edinburgh for a change and went to the Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry. As the name implies this is a small restaurant and we were lucky to get a table at the last minute for Sunday lunch. It’s a super place – nice atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. I had celeriac and saffron soup with Mascarpone and truffle oil which was outstanding, followed by very good rib-eye steak. Others had salmon and collar of pork which was also pronounced to be very good.
We’ll definitely be back – it would be really nice on a summer evening.
Visited 31st January 2010. Fixed price of about £17 for 2 courses but with wine, water, coffees etc, it worked out around £25 each.
