La Garrigue is, I think, the best of Edinburgh’s French restaurants. We went there in a large group of academics and researchers for a project dinner. My starter was lamb sweetbreads with aioli, followed by roast belly pork with braised little gem lettuce. Dessert was poached plums with orange cheesecake. £25 for 2 courses. We had some excellent Picpoul white wine which was very reasonably priced.
