A bit further afield than usual but I had a meeting in York and we had dinner in Meltons Too (there is a Meltons but I’ve never been there). They do tapas plus conventional starters and mains. They try to use local ingredients and tell you where they came from on the menu. My starter was lobster and baby tomatoes on garlic herb toast, followed by trout with samphire and spinach. The starter was better than the main but both were good. Bowls of chips were on the table but they were overcooked and soggy so I suggest you order the potatoes. Reasonably priced – not sure exactly as our hosts at York paid.
