My birthday so we tried this restaurant which I’d looked at several times. It was busy on a Saturday night with an older clientele (so I wasn’t out of place!). Short menu, with local ingreedients which is always a good sign. Starter was Parmesan Tart with Spinach which was excellent, followed by Grampian Lamb with roasted root vegetables. My lamb had a strange flavour which may simply have been specific to that lamb. I wasn’t taken with it but it was certainly nicely cooked. Dessert was a selection including lemon possett and whisky creme brulee. Very good. About £35/head which isn’t outrageous for the general quality of the food. We’ll definitely go again but will probably stick to fish.
