A new French restaurant, recently opened in Bruntsfield on the site of the unlamented Parrots. It was disappointing. My starter of rabbit saddle wrapped in ham with raspberry vinaigrette was dreadful – the rabbit overcooked and the raspberries just strange. My main course – choucroute de la mer – was unusual but OK. The dessert was almond and fig tart and was nothing great. The waiter had to ask us how to make kir (in a French restaurant!) and the wine was mediocre. About £30 each. Hopefully, it will improve in time.
